8. Lukewarm (Revelation 3:14-22)
Sunday May 10, 2026
Sunday May 10, 2026
Episode Summary
In the church at Laodicaea, total dependance on the Lord Jesus Christ has been supplanted in favour of lukewarmness—neither being hot nor cold. It's this condition which nauseates the Lord of the church, so much so that he wants to spit them out of his mouth. To return to a state of burning bright, the centrality of the Lord Jesus in the life of the church, and the lives of individual believers, needs to be reclaimed. This final letter to the churches leaves us with the searching question, 'What's your temperature when it comes to Jesus?'

7. The Open Door (Revelation 3:7-13)
Sunday May 03, 2026
Sunday May 03, 2026
Episode Summary
Jesus’ work in the church at Philadelphia teaches us something very important, that a struggling church may yet have great opportunities for the gospel. But there testimony also reminds us of another, equally important truth—that we must be careful what you trust to make you part of God’s family, because only Jesus himself is the open doorway into God’s royal household.

Sunday Apr 26, 2026
Sunday Apr 26, 2026
Episode Summary
The world looks at the church in Sardis and sees a living church. Jesus looks at the church at Sardis and sees a dead church. What killed it? And why is its 'life' an illusion? Of course, all hope is not yet lost – there are still a few who can make a difference, if only they would wake up.

5. Tolerating Jezebel (Revelation 2:18-29)
Sunday Apr 19, 2026
Sunday Apr 19, 2026
Episode Summary
The church at Thyatira represents something of a paradox: a church that is keeping on for Jesus and commended by him on the one hand, while on the other hand is tolerating the kind of behaviour that wouldn’t please Jesus at all. It reminds us of the danger a seemingly ‘healthy’ church can have when we begin to tolerate the kind of behaviour that is more like the world than the kingdom of Heaven.

4. Where the Devil Dwells (Revelation 2:12-17)
Sunday Apr 12, 2026
Sunday Apr 12, 2026
Episode Summary
Despite standing firm as followers of Jesus in the face of horrendous persecution, the church at Pergamum had drifted from their true north in God’s Word. Their experience shows how easily our society, our culture, and our own hearts’ desires can begin to shift our trust in God and his Word.
